For performance reasons and also to correct some authentication problems some users are experiencing we have decided to switch the pop3/imap mailserver from Courier to Dovecot mailserver. Please note this do not effect in your account or in the way you usually check your emails, is a background switch which will help us to improve our services. Below we have listed the advantages of Dovecot over Courier and also the only inconvenience that can cause after the switch:
Advantages:
* Low memory footprint. (More available resources for all in the server)
* Better IMAP performance.
* BlackBerry® Fastmail support.
Note: Switching mail servers may cause some mail clients to redownload all stored mail messages for the account. This is primarily is seen with POP3 configured accounts.
