We use secure multi-php versions in our cPanel shared hosting servers.

You can run a script or command over cron depending your needs, or either as a CGI PHP or CLI.

To run it as CGI use this format:

/usr/bin/php /home/username/public_html/script.php

To run it as CLI use this format:

/usr/bin/php-cli /home/username/public_html/script.php
